Large Copper Butterfly

Large Copper Butterfly (Lycaena dispar – In Polish: Czerwienczyk dukacik) belongs to the Family Lycaenidae. It can be found on the edges of forests and in the meadows up to 2000 meters.This butterfly is on the Red List of Threatened Species. Males and females look different. Females have conspicuous dark dots on their front wings ( which are missing in males). Mount Dzial – Czarnorzeki – June 29, 2012
