Wow! That tree is huge. Do you know what kind of tree? Edit: Just saw in the TR that it is a cedar. Nice shot!
I'm glad you asked, because to be honest, I'm not a very good at tree identification, but judging from the bark, I think it's a cedar. Most of Washington used to be covered with these giant trees and now because of logging, there are only a few pockets of them left. I know of about 4 or 5 places in the state where you can see trees like this, but there are surely more which are away from trails and human access.
