Last steps towards the summit (cairn on the left), minutes before noon on 6/4/05.
It appears that most of the snow on the upper NE slopes of Tokewanna have been deposited by last week's storms. These talus fields apparently remain nearly snow-free through the spring, despite their northerly exposure, probably due to wind action.
