not really steepwell, in this section it's about 65°-70°, but in the upper goulottes you'll climb on 80°-90° sections.

Re: Congrats!of course...As all the big icy north faces of the Alps.
Infact the descent is on the other side.
easy abseils down on the south face towards the Talèfre glacier.

Jacksonyes, it's true. But in this kind of climb you have to reach the summit, otherwise you must have a really good experience to abseil down the icy and mixte face.
The Jackson is a variying (only 3 pitches, AI 5+, usually with tricky and thin ice, so tough to place ice screw, but you'ld use TCU on the rock) of the Ginat, after the central slope: then the climb meets the Ginat.

Awesome shotI always dreamed about the big alpine north faces as a kid, particularly after reading Chouinard's Climbing Ice. Les Courtes, Les Droites, the Shroud, etc. Thanks for sharing.

Exposure ComposureA very well composed photo. It gives you a good sense of exposure (for a photo anyway), something not easy to capture through a lens. Good job.

Grazie Federico...... con questo bello scatto che mi ritrae nella nostra salita alle Dorites non sono più solamente un alpinista "meredero", ho spezzato i confini locali e sono di rilievo nella più grande comunità di appassionati della verticale
