Leading up to the traverse

Leading up to the traverse

You can see Bob & Duane on the right, against the ridge skyline. This was our reconnaissance trip, and at this point we had just left Stoney Indian Pass. The cliff leading to the traverse can plainly be seen; it is the highest point, slightly right of center, in the sun. We had to find a way around and behind the cliff, and walk across its top onto the traverse, which is just at the bottom of the gray cliff band (in shadow, left of center). The nice point on the left (in sunlight), is the first of the Stoney Indian Peaks.
