Came to Yosemite for a day hike, and randomly chose this one and very glad I did. Awesome views.
We did this hike on our last day in Yosemite. The view of Tuolumne Meadows and Mount Lyell were great.
This is one of the best easy summits anywhere. It takes less than an hour to hike to the top, and you can get a 360 degree view of all the Tuolumne peaks from it. Funny how small Lembert looks from the summit of, say Cathedral.
Scrambled up the easy slopes to the left (looking from carpark) of where the rocklimbing action seemed to be. Had no gear with me. Only just realised it was a personal altitude record at the time, boy that car park must be way above Sea Level!
I hiked up this one, maybe class 4 at times. It was fun.
My first TM route. What's this nonsense about big rounouts? I then jumped on Werners Wiggle and quickly found out!!
Fun route. A little struggle on the crack/offwith
September 12th, 2010 - Climbed NW Books - Descended S Slopes - A nice easy trad lead.
July 30th, 2004 - Ascended South Slope - descended North Cleft - I climbed this route on my way to the 2004 Sierra Challenge. Besides being a fun scramble and leg-stretcher, the summit provided great views of Mts Lyell and Maclure, our objective in 2 days. The descent down the north side was more interesting, but the loose rock also made it a little more dangerous.
I just love the place. Once with my wife and her friends drinking Tequilla. One of the friends, Caroline could sing better than Linda Ronstandt, she was serenading the campers in the campground who applauded after each song!
Don't remember much of the hike, but thought the view from the summit was awesome.
My first introduction to Tuolumne domes. Dirk (Diggler) lead the two pitches. Fun, short climb with great views on the summit.
Fun. There was a little bit of a line but we did get on and it was great.
Headed up to the top via the South Slope with my girlfriend. Tried to find the easiest gradients so she would not be too spooked.
Very easy multipitch climb, maybe the easiest in Tuolumne. Bomber holds everywhere, we had to force ourselves to place pro...
There were only three parties on the route including us, it is so nice to be in Tuolumne early in the season.
Great views from the top!
We have done this route now several times. Nice warm up for the area with beautiful views and easy walk off.
A quick climb up this slope one evening when I rolled into T Meadows to try out some new climbing shoes. Nice views of the meadow.
