short hike & bushwhack
From the campground, the Lewis Mountain Trail takes you near the summit, but the true top is in some trees off the trail a bit. The bushwhack over to the top isn't too bad, though the very highest spot isn't very distinct.

Lewis MountainQuiet, pretty walk to the overlook and a side trip to the summit, which is in the middle of a thicket.

A November AfternoonI enjoyed the view at the overlook, and also bushwhacked to the nondescript summit.

Lewis MountainHiked to Lewis Mountain; it was a warm winter day with nice views from the overlook.
