thunder to lightning to 1631 traverse
the gully down from Lightning Pyramid is awful without snow!

Traverse from Thunder
Traversed from Thunder Pyramid via the east side ledges on a windy day. The descent down the gully from the saddle between the two was awful! I was throwing out tons of f-bombs. Don't do that gully without snow.

South Ridge
From UN 13,631 with Kiefer and John. Cliffed out a couple times, but otherwise fun scrambling on incredibly loose rock. Continued on to Thunder Pyramid and Pyramid.

South Ridge
Second summit of this complicated mountain. Traversed from 13,631 on a challenging but worthy ridge.
Very loose.
Continued on to Thunder Pyramid and finally Pyramid Peak.

Thunder and Lightning
Climbed as an out-and-back from Thunder Pyramid. The class 2 gully was snow filled, then traversed some ledges back to the saddle with a little class 3 mixed in to avoid some snow in places.

Skied the East Face of Lightning. Fun climb, sketchy snow conditions (wet, new snow), long descent (4K).
Pyramid group completed.

Thunder Pyramid to UN 13631 traverse
Climbed "Thunder Pyramid" via its standard route, traverse to "Lightning Pyramid" had a few 4th class moves, traverse to UN 13631 was considerably more difficult staying near the ridge crest. There were two extremely loose downclimbs involved and one very airy low 5th class move.
Climbed the south ridge route to the Thunder/Lightning saddle and then climbed to the summit of Lightning before heading to Thunder

Traverse to Thunder
Climbed the Class 4 route to the Thunder/Lightning saddle. Fun scrambling to the saddle and an easy Class 2+ hike to the summit. Great views all around. Then Traversed over to Thunder.

thunder-lightning traverse
traversed from thunder. a rough, airy and tedious class four traverse, maybe even more difficult than the one of the bells. great adventure on an unforgettable day.

Traverse from Lightning
Climbed w/ Skasgaard, Shanahan, and Jamie N. Long, tedious traverse over mostly crap rock. Fortunately, for the really nasty moves, the rock was decently solid. Pyramid ridge is finally closed in my book!

North Ridge
Traversed over from Thunder Pyramid. A nightmare of a traverse but oddly, a good route as long as you stayed ON the ridge crest. This stuff is SOLID class-4 with frequent class-5 moves on loose, rottn rock. Lightning has a small summit but the views of the Bells are amazing!
