It never fails ...

I always get this one mixed up with White pines
and Jeffery pines. The one that stands out the
most is the Western Yellow pine; at least here
in Arizona. I love the new growth on these guys! And nothing can beat the smell of them!

thanks. Well, I am certainly not an expert and I try to keep it simple. In our local mountains you see many lodgepole (2 needles), jeffrey (3 needles), sugar and limber pines (both with 5 needles). There are of course some others but for those I have to consult my field guide....Cheers
