Nice afternoon hike  Sucess!

Hiked from the Little Mountain Summit parking area starting around 1pm, climbed to summit and hills just north and east that had trails. Great views, nobody else on trail, lots of wildflowers and some cool lizards skittering around. Casually hiked back to my car, total trip time 2 hours. Went over to Big Mountain afterwards since the trailhead is only 15 mins away down route 65.

Dale + Perkins + Little  Sucess!

Did Dale & Perkins and then Little afterwards. Trail is good up ridge - then a really poorly used hunter/deer trail bushwack over to the official "Little" mountain.

Snow and Rain  Sucess!

Started feeling stir crazy after reading all day. Got to the trailhead around 7 p.m. It had been raining all day but there was a slight break in the clouds. Made it to the summit then the snow came. Just some flurries. Beat the main storm back to the car. 1.25 hour round trip. Wish I could have enjoyed the view more but I needed to avoid the storm.

Went looking for elk sheds, and found a perfect pair of moose sheds. Was with the wifey on this day.

Easy Evening Jaunt  Sucess!

I've been up a couple of times, but I only remember this date. Super chill hike and definitely great for beginners!

Voles Beware  Sucess!

So many voles, so many annoying humans telling you that you can't dig up their entire tunnel system. What would of happened if we never dug up our sewer lines to make sure all was well and then rebuilt them. We would be Rome under Caeser. No one wants to be Rome under Caeser. Unless you are Brutus, but I digress. I made it to the top and I had a good time, humans aside.

Pretty!  Sucess!

Good hike for when you're short on time and want to get some trail underfoot. I would love to go back for a nice easy run here!

Looks Like Ireland  Sucess!

This time in Utah is a favorite. So green! Green with envy, jolly green giant, the green monster, the green mile. So much green! The point is that the views were gorgeous, the trail would be a great trailing running trail. It also is a good place to find strangers on a trail that will whip out a ski flask to give you a shot of alcohol. Always trust strangers is my moto. Anyhow I enjoyed myself.

Snow and bow hunters  Sucess!

Bow hunting in the area and I saw several hunters lower down. It was a perfect day for a hike and the snow was firm enough to not necessitate snowshoes.

The first time I went up this mountain was in 2010 and I met Mountaingazelle and her dad as I was hiking back down. The problem was, I didn't know it was her until later. : (

Little  Sucess!

I've climbed this peak several years ago. Before that we used to go sledding on the peak when I was a child.

Great snow shoe  Sucess!

Headed up after work, escaping the nasty, soupy, smog on the valley. On the way up, passed a telamarker who was headed down. Other than that, I had the mountain all to myself, except for a mommy moose and her calf just below the subpeak. They didn't even look at me. Snow was wet and heavy. Glad I had the snowshoes. Great little hike!

Fall Fun  Sucess!

Needed a short hike after work. I have biked this trail several times for years and always wondered which peak was Little Mountain. I think I made it to the right peak...according to the pics. There were some rocks - looked like a summit marker.

7/23/15 - trail run to same spot as 2010 but according to Google Maps, I didn't go quite far enough. Maybe .25 miles short. See ya soon Little Mtn!

11/17/19 - Finally made it to the true Little Mtn.
2/7/23 - Snowshoe

Little Mountain  Sucess!

This was a nice snowshoe. Great weather in February. The last part up to the summit had deep snow up to my waist. I saw Dean on the mountain with his orange hat and didn’t even realize it until he was gone. I was wearing sunglasses and was probably hard to recognize.

200th  Sucess!

This was my 200th new summit. Did as an after work hike with gjagiels, Mikerhiker, Mikerhiker's son (Chase) and my cousin Scott. The trail was muddy and snow on the ridge over to the peak.
