Little Owls Head

Little Owls Head

Fall color in the Pemigewasset Wilderness. This is just southeast of Willey and I call it the Little Owls Head because the real one is just on the other side of the peaks to the right in this photo. I don't believe these mounds have names, they are about 3000 feet high, and are bordered by the North Fork of the Pemigewasset River (to its right in this photo) and the Shoal Pond Brook (on its left). Sitting between the Willey Range and the Franconia peaks, nicely tucked away, not getting their due.

Re: no sign...

This one sits nicely in between some ridges with highways on the other side. At least this area seems to be pretty solitary.

Cheers,
Brian
