Took the White River Trail to Ranger Creek Trail. We saw two ladies on the trail and no one at the top. The clouds started coming down as we ate lunch at the top, but the rain held off until we were back at the trail head.
I took the Palisades Trail 1198 to the Ranger Creek Trail 1197 and on to the peak. A nice 14 mile round trip.
I'm beginning to wonder if we did make the actual summit due to some photos that I've seen that show it in the summer months. Of course things do look very different in the winter. Gonna have to hit this one again though just to make sure I hit the actual highpoint.
Nice winter peak with a very good shelter on top. 10 miles roundtrip but elevation gain is 2500 feet. This trail though has the longest switchbacks I've ever seen. Fun trip
