nice little tower, very quick climb, great scenery…
standard route Leaping Lizards.
4/22/17 - 2nd time, felt even easier that first time... Did it with family and brought up my 9 year old great niece.

climbed entry fee(5.8R) with aaron, airy, exposed climbing on the upper half of the tower was spectacular!

Lizard Rock
Interesting enough, one of the last towers I had yet to climb in the Moab area. Just too easy and accessible I suppose. So on a tic list day, along with Molar and the Three Gossips we started out here. I led the the tower, there are no 5.9 moves, thought it was listed 5.8R by the FAers. It protected well enough, a C4#6 if you have it does well in the upper flake. Then as you mantel up right before the summit and the last move, you can (at 5'11" anyway) clip the chain anchor. The summit mantel is made easy by one of several holes either chipped or naturally developed on the summit. There should be no fright on this climb and don't traverse right on worse rock as some suggest. I did not clip any fixed pro, two old button heads as I recall, one on the 5.10 variation.
5.8 standard route has limited options. I'd say you could rate this 5.8 X? Great little tower climb basically a few 100 metes from the Fisher towers parking lot.
Neat rock. Good way to climb in the Fishers without experiencing Fisher's "Rock". Worth doing for sure. Carson's Tower and Dunce Rock are both worthwhile ticks as well.

I climbed the rock with Matt and my dad. It was my favorite climb that I have ever done.
