Climbed as part of our 7 summits on the rim proper. Started with a double of Garfield Peak and Applegate, followed by a double of The Watchman and Hillman Peak, then Llao Rock, CloudCap, and Dutton Cliffs as singular climbs.
Llao rock is a fairly easy hike from the rim drive up. Summit is in the trees to the left when nearing the summit. Great views of the island from the top. Mostly just pummice on the hike and not terribly steep.

A solo trip which I started with Misery Ridge at Smith Rock. From there I stopped for a hike up Black Butte on my way to Crater Lake. At the lake I hiked up the 5 primary peaklets around the lake and a few minor ones before driving to Yamsay Mountain for the final hike. See the trip report.
Found a small sign in a clearing on the hike out that proclaimed this area was closed to protect whitebark pine.
Buddy needed this one too (see Hillman entry). So we ran up it in about 40 minutes. Great view from summit.
I was hungry, and thirsty, and tired, so I didn't really spend much time exploring the top. I would like to ski the rim someday and re-climb all of Crater Lake's peaks.

Reese and I climbed Llao Rock after we summited on Hillman Peak.
Just a flower walk people. I think there is even a slight trail to the top. The three of us who had done The Watchman, and Hillman Peak already just parked on the road and scrambled through the trees.
The view is nice though.
