Logan Pass summit.

Logan Pass summit.

This is a nice view of the Logan Pass summit (6,646' elevation, and the Continental Divide). Almost everyone visiting Glacier takes the Sun Road over this spectacular piece of road work—with good reason! Anyway, here it is as seen from the summit of Mount Oberlin. Going-to-the-Sun Mountain is on the left, Little Chief on the right. As a matter of interest, the pass averages 500" of snow per year (with the park's upper reaches doubling that), and it is not unusual to have sustained 100 mph winds for days on end—it's a nice place to visit, but not in winter!
