From Dry Canyon  Sucess!

Came up from Dry Canyon. The trail gets more and more faint as you go up. I ended up bushwaking coming down off the summit and that made for a quicker descent. The trail coming in also makes for a nice run, as it's not to steep.

Nice day  Sucess!

Missed the turn for the trail and ended up going up west ridge, added an extra mile and change. Some amazing weather today, not too cold at the top, not too warm coming down

Providence to Logan to Little Baldy to Temple Baldy  Sucess!

Came up from Providence Canyon quarry. Beautiful hike although very steep. Too many ATVs for my liking as well. Views from the summit were awesome. Could see all the way to the Oquirrhs, Uintas, and Wasatch above Salt Lake. My wife and I decided to return to our car via the ridge down to Little Baldy and the Welches Flat Road. Bagged Temple Baldy as well. Great day for a great hike.

From Providence Canyon  Sucess!

I hiked from Providence Canyon, up ATV trails mostly, to the top of Providence Peak and then over to Logan Peak. My car couldn't make it all the way up Providence Canyon to the quarry trailhead parking, so it ended up being a 16 mile day with decent elevation change. Didn't see any other hikers, but lots of ATVs and sheep! Beautiful day with some varied terrain.

Logan Peak

Hiked with a couple of buddies in 2010 after school ended. We took the Spring Hollow route. Great Hike.

Nice View  Sucess!

This took a while in the snow from Dry Canyon, but very cool spot. Will have to ski this one next year.

Dry Canyon  Sucess!

Wet morning after a day of rain yesterday. The trail near the top is hard to follow, but there are many red and orange ribbons that lead you along the way. Fairly strait forward besides that.

Snowshoe  Sucess!

Went up dry canyon, ice at the bottom to some warm snow on top. Great view and fun peak right out of town. Shared the summit with my wife, next time we'll take the skis!

Easy road up  Sucess!

Been to the summit several times by 4x4 and snowmobile. I know it's kinda cheating, but when the road is already there...

I do plan on making the trip on foot, perhaps via snowshoes or skis when I get a chance.

JPSE  Sucess!

The mountain is right in my backyard almost, and is lovely and imposing--especially when it is snow-covered. Made it to the top several years ago via Dry Canyon. The trail is basically non-existent for the last 300-400m, but the view from the top is worth it. I'm keen to try it next year from Spring Hollow. Nice and steep, but accessible with crampons and ice axe.

Long Haul  Sucess!

Long hike to the top, at which time you're greeted by a building and tower. Can't recommend this one as a summer hike.

Logan  Sucess!

Dry Canyon. Then own off-trail route up north slopes of canyon to reach summit ridge. Would like to thank the local good old boys for using their jeeps to turn this into one of the most pristine areas I have seen. Summit was swarming with ladybugs.

Dry Canyon  Sucess!

I hiked this 5 months pregnant as an overnighter. Trail dies out--someone had marked it our with rough markers, so we found our way pretty easily.

Howdy Mr. Moose  Sucess!

Baaa. Goat here from Camden, South Carolina, representing the Webb family, the Southern people, the CSA, and the Univ. of SC Law School. Huge climb via Dry Canyon. I saw my cousin Bullwinkle at about 9000 ft. Again, Baaa.

Via Providence Canyon  Sucess!

Nice loop from the quarry in Providence Canyon up Providence Peak, over to Logan Peak, down to Little Baldy and then back to the quarry on the South Syncline Trail.

Dry Canyon

Hiked up the Dry Canyon trail. The trail fades out for the last mile or so, but the peak is obvious. Great views of Logan below.

6/20/20 - Ran to the summit as part of the Logan Peak Trail Race.
