snow or Glacier?how much of a snow field was up here? and what month did you climb Longs Peak, August?

Longs Peak's snow fieldIt was a small snow field, not much snow left from the last winter. I was there in September. I saw Longspeak from Pagoda Mountain a couple of months later, it was completely snow covered.

Looks SlipperyThis looks like a tough time to go through the Trough. I can also see some shiny rocks. Icy?

Re: Looks SlipperyIt does look slippery. But if I remember well, by the time I reached the Trough the snow started to soften a bit, so all I had to do was to start kicking steps upward.
