Keyhole Route not so bad :)
Beautiful clear but WINDY day led me to be even more careful in scrambling. Snow patch along right side of trough is completely avoidable. Watch out for ice in Homestretch (still!) as well as the silppery rock from the melting ice. Started at 3am, back to trailhead by 4:45 pm with ample rest breaks. Route not as challenging as expected based on trip reports.

Notch Couloir
Summited via Notch Couloir. WHEW! What a route. We literally had the entire mountain to ourselves. Saw no one all day. About a 15 hour day. Also got SE Longs as well. Some sketch downclimbing down the Loft towards the end.

Nice late summer day. Saw no people all morning until I hit the homestretch on Longs. Descended via Keyhole. Repeated route once since.

'hole truth
Elspeth and I camped @ Jim's grove (this is '87) the first night and saddled up at 7:00 the next morning, summited at 11:45. It started snowing descending the homestretch and there was about a foot by the boulder field. Picked up camp & back to the car at 7:00

Keyhole
Took my 17 year old son up Long's via the keyhole. This was his first time in the mountains and he quite enjoyed it. Left the rangers station at 3:30, made the summit at 8:00 am. Beautiful weather and views. Had a snack and spent about 30 minutes on top. Back at the car by noon.

Longs Peak via Keyhole
Climbed Longs on probably the most beautifil day of the year. An amazing experience. Started from Ranger Station @ 3:00 a.m. and summited by 9:00. Climbed with a group of myself and 4 friends and met lots of neat people on the trail. Thanks Longs Peak for a day I will never forget!!
Left TH at 4am, summitted at 9 with a handful of others. Ran into dozens of people on the way down and thankful for the early start. Also thankful we ascended in the dark as the walk out was rather boring. Still though, this peak has many different aspects that I feel make it one of CO's favorite 14er.

Windy Keyhole
Spent three nights in the boulder field and went for the summit on Sunday, just before a white-out storm Monday morning on the climb down. Great climb though!

Climbed the standard route with Dustin Kelley and Eric Holle. Lot of people on the mountain, but an interesting climb. Weather started to get bad at the end.

Keiners
Epic day on Keiners, one of the best routes I have EVER done. Did not see anyone else on the entire mountain other than a couple camped below the Keyhole. Crazy, and we thought it would be crowded!

CO ClassicThe Keyhole is a CO classic. Great trail. Start early to avoid the crowds. It's long, but worth it.
