Looking down to the west from the northern edge of the Weißmaurachjoch (2953m)

The two peaks are the Watzespitze (3532m) and Verpeilspitze (3423m), both on the Kaunergrat. But between the saddle from where this photo was taken and those mountains lies the Pitztal valley, and the elevation of the valley floor is around 1600m down there. 30 June 2012.
