Overview

Looking Glass Rock is a 6,420 ft/1,957 m sandstone formation located between Moab and Monticello, Utah.
The climb to its top is very easy, usually done in 3 pitches, bolted. The highlight, however, is a spectacular 185 foot free rappel that drops out of an exposed keyhole window. The summit views are marvelous, with snow capped La Sal Mountains looming to the northeast and the Henry and Abajo Mountains to the west and southwest.

We brought only one 70 meter rope for the rap, and it was sufficient with the stretch.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
