Looking north from Granite's summit to see some green in this area of Nevada that is mainly brown. The town of McDirmitt can barely be seen in the upper left corner of this picture as well as US Highway 97. 8-31-03

nice warm feeling..

I can almost smell the high desert summer in that photo. A great shot Dean. Counting down the days till summer...

It is really a nice area, one that both Bob and I really enjoyed even though the climb isn't much of a challenge. Bob and I were out chasing county highpoints in Oregon, Idaho and Nevada over the labor day weekend and this was perhaps the one we enjoyed the most. (well, Steens mtn was pretty interesting too). C'mon spring and summer, we're awaiting.
