North Ridge from Piute Pass
So I inadvertently scrambled right past the summit looking for the "exposed notch" and found myself staring at the huge gap between this summit and "Peak 13,120." This gap is definitely not the notch, and it is definitely not class 3! If you've reached this gap, you've gone too far.

North Ridge from Pk 12353
Good Class 3 scrambling up 12353's east face and an easy walk over boulders then sand to top of notch. Not sure what the author's fuss was about getting across the notch and climbing to summit - super simple straight route across on relatively stable Class 3 rock. Easy day with a fun buddy!

Slopes from Piute Pass
Climbed up to the northern most point of the north ridge from Piute pass. Panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Route Climbed: North Ridge Date Climbed: October, 1997
Excellent climb with varied terrain, spectacular views. Saw a hawk being chased by dozens of swifts. Nearly fell off the exposed summit tower when I tried to take a self-portrait using my camera's timer.
