Lots of Sahara Sand
Above the Passo Val Torrone (2'518m), at over 2'600m, with Valle Zocca behind me and Cime del Calvo (2'967m) and Pizzo Ligoncio (3'032m) in the distance to the left.
Here we were more or less directly below the quite dramatic Pizzo Luigi Amedeo (2'793m).
It's not often that you get to see this much Sahara sand on Italian snow.
