Lupine, Panamit Valley

Lupine, Panamit Valley

Lupine along the southern end the Hunter Mountain Road, with Panamint Valley beyond. That shiny black object to the right of the lupine is a huge bumblebee.

Wow...Beautiful..

Is this taken this year? Just kinda curious because of the low snow pack and water..was wondering how the flowers were going to be in the desert. it is a very beautiful picture..the Lupine are gorgeous. I LOVE the cute little bumble bee..I bet she loved the lupine.
Thank you!

Re: Wow...Beautiful..

Thanks! It's one of my favorite desert shots. Actually, I shot this about 10 (?) years ago, on a bike ride up Hunter Mountain. I haven't been out to the Death Valley area recently, so I don't know about the flower situation...guessing it will be sparse due to the low snowpack.
