What an adventure. Climbed via one of the canyons, very few ascents.
We arrived on the summit in sunlight and left in mist and rain. This is not unusual, it seems!
A bitter summit in harsh winter conditions with no view worth speaking of. Don't go there unless you're particularly keen on claiming SA's highest peak.
Bagged Mafadi as part of a 4-day escarpment route going up Bannerman Pass and down Leslie's Pass.
Summited as one of twelve in a UCT Mountain and Ski Club trip. Other summits included Popple Peak 3331m, The Judge 3197m, and Injasuti Dome 3410m (Mafadi's neighbour).
