Pretty interesting stuff. What are Besotho villages? What does it mean to "book a cave"? Page would look nicer if you added a signature photo. Very nice page. I plan to check out other SA pages as well.
The Basotho are tribesmen who live on the Lesotho side of the escarpment watershed. Sometimes they sneak across to a hiker's camp at night and steal whatever gear they can get their hands on, in fact, there was one (isolated) instance when a climber was murdered because the local witchdoctor wanted white-man's hair!
They are not all bad, but you've got to keep alert when they're near by.
As for booking caves - I'm not sure exactly how that works, but using caves for shelter is quite popular and it's often necessary to know whether you have them to yourself, since space is usually limited.
Looks like a beautiful place... which I plan on visitng in the not too distant future. Thanks for sharing it.

The Drakensberg is certainly worth a visit if you're in SA. The northern and southern ends of the range are both hugely impressive - but also very different. The north is where you find the most jagged spires, the south is more lush, green and friendly.
