Nice page as always Dean
Another great page Dean! I do wish you had seen the view up there. But I wouldn't suggest going back there just for that - So Many Mountains, So LITTLE Time!
Nice page, glad this one was finally added. Not sure about the Cascade Volcano list inclusion though, this one is not really one of the biggies. But, I enjoyed the Twins so I'll have to go down to this area and do this one. Didn't know about the prominence either. Cool.
Thanks Brian for the vote and comments. I thought the volcano list was interesting and was surprised to see Maiden Peak on it. It is amazing to know that so much of the area was volcanic at one time. I look forward to your pics when you do Maiden Peak.
I too think Maiden should be left off this volcanoes list. Note that lots of other "shield volcanoes" and "big cinder cones" in OR are not on the list. E.g., Olallie Butte.
Nice page, I had considered putting this one up, but as usual had poor luck with photos. It is an excellent but time consuming snowshoe hike on a well marked trail.
Bob's picture indeed is beautiful. Nice page!
Thank you Gangolf for the vote and comment. Let me wish you a great 2006 and I look forward to more of your great photos and pages.
The problem with 2006 so far is that I've already been working for a week. Usually I have a couple of leftover vacation days to burn but this year I found myself short of them. So the year tastes already a bit old.
Another great page by Dean.
Thanks Medford person. This was a fun peak because of the fine company I had. I appreciate your vote and pics. I just wish I could snowshoe up there this weekend.
You would need a Snowcat this weekend !!
Great page Dean.
Good one Dean.
And a fair Maiden it is. Okay, better than "fair."
Nice page Dean! Looks like some sweet views from up there.
Good page, Dean!
Appears to be a fun backwoods mtn. Good write up and pix too.
Stellar page Dean!
When I saw this peak, I remembered that the snowshoeing guidebook mentions that it is a real testpiece on snowshoes. Nice!
