Major river crossing to Roraima

There are two major rivers which must be crossed to reach Roraima from the trail head. There aren't any bridges. Some groups have waited more than two days for the river to drop to a safe level for crossing. The current was strong for us, but the water was warm. Even if you did go for a swim, the danger of drowning was low. The current did not seem like it would suck you under any rocks or branches...you could just ride it out until you could swim to safety.
