Isn't it true that

several major peaks in the Wasatch Range are
more easily climbed from one direction, as
opposed to the opposite direction ?

With a range as incredible and beautiful as
the Wasatch, you definitely can save yourself
some time by choosing the correct route.

Choose wisely, my son ... (or daughter).

It’s true in many cases but not all. The Northern Wasatch is usually steeper on the west side of the range. Some of the best and most strenuous hikes start right from the valley. The standard route up Malans Peak goes around the north and then switchbacks up to the top from the east.
