Malovan (1709m) from mid...

Malovan (1709m) from mid part of the 2km long grassy karst field of Bunovac (1200m), which is placed on the continental terrace of South Velebit, below some of the highest peaks of Velebit. Bunovac is one of the most romantic and beautiful spots on Velebit, and has amazing panorama. Unfortunately because of mines it is inaccessible to hikers.

Bold white peak

with different types of green. Large old herbivores should be encouraged to graze in these meadows!

Yes Mark, they would certainly enjoy Velebit's aromatic plants :-) Malovan is very beautiful peak from all sides, so symmetrical and huge, but this side is my favorite. From the photo it is hard to comprehend that it towers over 500m above but it is the effect like when standing at the foot of skyscraper, you can't really see its height.
