Manaslu Trek, Nepali Children

On any trek in Nepal, the children always seem to appear in camp.

Do you remember . . .

which village you might have taken this shot, and when?

the two older ones look so familiar. I need to pull up my pics?

Tea-houses

Taken in 2000 Fred! Seems so long ago, but yet still in this new millennium. New from the area is that now finally there are tea-houses all the way (still basic as you will know) and no camping is required. But still for the hardy traveller, not the apple pie traveller. But there is too the threat of a road being built through Tsum and the Budi Gandaki valley to China from Nepal (or vice-versa). While certainly good for somethings, the trek may soon be a memory captured in minds and pictures like there.
The lodges are all mapped here on google earth http://manaslucircuittrek.com/
