Shot, looks like a lot of snow! I thought there were only 10 inches at the stake!

No sir, I would say well over a foot. There were many people toting skis to the top and skiing from the summit this day!

The big E does not appeal to me but some of those northwest peaks sure do!!!

Great Shot!

That must be a pretty exciting climb in winter! It gives Mansfield the feeling of a much higher mountain than its modest elevation would lead you to believe. Is that the Adam's Apple in the background?

It is a great winter hike. we went up the hellbrook trail with only a dusting on the ground and by the time we reached the summit, there was a bunch! Yes that is the adams apple.

Very cool

Much cooler than my lame little ascent of Mansfield (in the Fall, with no snow). Great photo!

I love Mt. Mansfield in all conditions but this trip was one of my favorites of the many times i have been up it.
