Many Glacier Valley

Many Glacier Valley

Oh, the wonders of Many Glacier... This blustery June day was made memorable by a thick veil of clouds that seemed stuck in place on the upper reaches of the Continental Divide. The clouds appeared unaffected by the wind, no matter how hard it blew, and were present for the entire day. Bulky Mount Gould sits above and to the left of the cloud wall. Grinnell Point towers high above Swiftcurrent Lake and Many Glacier Hotel. Just to the right, the dark fin of rock that is just visible through the clouds belongs to Swiftcurrent Mountain. Just right of the clouds, the broad, steep east face of Mount Wilbur reaches towards the blue sky, with the jagged Ptarmigan Wall continuing out-of-frame to the right. June 22, 2010

Picture perfect image !

Astounding picture with the proper blend of scenery including the meadows uup front !

Considering the assumed vertical , despite the stark rocky nature of the mountains it makes me wonder if by some faint chance there might be related scenery to uncover back home !
