Maple (Pond) Lake

In a pretty setting, Maple Lake is about 2/3rds of the way to the summit as you hike the trail. From the lake, you can look up and see the summit of SpanishFork Peak. I've decided to return to this one in the spring when there is snow as it will be more interesting to do it under those conditions. The ridgeline in the background is what you aim for after you leave the lake. 7-14-07

I really love

the greens! I suppose things will be
very interesting this spring. Perhaps
there'll be an awesome waterfall spilling
out of this lake, when all the snowpack
starts to melt! Be careful, Dean!!!

Thanks Larry, I forgot to mention the black bear tracks I noticed around the edge of this pond when I was there this past summer.
