With Jan
Probably the busiest rock climb I've ever done. We had to wait a long time before we could start, and even longer higher up, after the fifth pitch, which is where the Piaz Arete, which starts a little more to the left, joins Via Maria. I'm not sure if the traffic jam was because there had been climbers coming from that other route or because the climbers ahead were simply slow, for some of them certainly were.
However, the scenery was outstanding, the climb was enjoyable and the weather was fine, so I didn't mind having to wait. It gave me time to look around, eat and drink something and relax. The only drawback was that, by the time we reached the top, the cable car was closed for the day, so we had to walk down instead - which, though we didn't plan to, wasn't exactly punishment either.
