Thank you for your vote. The pictures that I have seen seem to indicate that in early summer there is still tons of snow here but by late summer the snow becomes limited to the bottom of the high valleys and other sheltered areas.
Thank you for your vote. Have fun on Damavand and take a trip to the Caspian Coast if you have the time. It is very lush and beautiful. I like the areas near the towns of Chalus and Ramsar where the mountains get very close to the sea.
In late summer, you may find Mt. Tochal a little too arid.
Yes I have climbed every single one of these peaks. Was in Iran for 3 weeks and spent 8 days in the Takhte Soleyman Massif climbing one, two or three peaks each day (so bear with me, just a few more to add). Spending 8 days in the mountains away from the rest of the world was great.

Untitled CommentThanks, I can somehow tell that you share the same passion. I was actually supposed to spend 10 days in the massif but we shortened it to 8.

Untitled CommentGood page of another up to now (to me)unknown mountain
Considering that these photos have been taken at the end of June there is still quite a lot of snow up there.
