What a tangled mess of debris! Almost fell down, could not establish a good clear trail, however did somehow make it to the summit. The rest of my hiking party waited for me.
I agree with e-doc. The bushwhack around Hardison and up to the summit of Mark's was relatively easy, even with snow on the ground. The manway was pronounced and there several orange and blue ribbons marking the route. I suspect climbing the mountain once the foliage has matured would be much more difficult. We had ideal conditions for the ascent (high 40s, crystal clear blue skies, snow on the ground) This was one of the best sixers we have done >> IT WAS ALSO OUR LAST ON THE LIST!!!! >>
I found the old trail pretty easy to follow, more so on the last trip a few years ago. The old Hyatt Ridge trail peters out when you turn to climb up to the saddle. The bushwhack is not all that difficult with all the SB6000 traffic. OMO
