Was definitely in a peak bagging mood today. Started at Beverly TH. Hiked to Fourth Creek Pass. Left trail to follow ridge straight to Mary's Peak. Then followed ridge to Judy's Peak. Dropped into valley and went straight for Bean Peak. Followed ridge down to Volcanic Neck. And finished up at Devil's Head. Then looped back using standard trail. Views were incredible, trail was silent (and it was a holiday weekend) and really cool rocks which was an unexpected plus. Very dry up here so bring extra water because there isn't much to filter beyond Beverly Creek.
The kind of mountain you can climb over and over again.
Combined with Bean, Earl's and Judi's. Great time, my first in the Teanaway! I loved the rocky scramble on the ridge from Bean to Mary's. Trip report here.
Traversed Earl, Bean, Volcanic Neck, Devils Head, Bean, Judis, Marys, and Bill with Heather Anderson. 13 hours and 40 minutes round-trip.
With Flanders. Camped at the pass and hiked up the north ridge in the morning sun. Weird obsidianish and green rocks. Went on to Judi's from here.
As I go through my pictures 8 years later, I realize I did this peak. I knew I had done another that day and somehow I thought this was Bills Peak. http://www.willhiteweb.com/teanawayriver/earl_peak/bean_203.htm
Part of a 6-Summit amble throughout the Teanaway
Went up with beaudaddy and zephyr (nwhikers). Awesome trip with awesome company. We tackled three peaks today. This one had some great views!!
Did Judi's, Mary's and Bean Peaks. Great day with some good guys.
Took the ridge over from Judy then dropped into Bean Basin to complete a loop. Great day to be out. The wild flowers were poppin!
Cloudy, but no rain, and no people on the summit. Fun easy scramble
