Mauna Kea fr the SE
Mauna Kea from the southeast from Saddle Road on a crystal clear early March morning in 2007. What a blessing that was--especially since it was cloudy the day before. Note the well-maintained road. Saddle Road is quite nice on the east side of the saddle. On the west side...not so nice...especially if you're driving home with a big headache after climbing Mauna Loa in way too much of a hurry.
