From Where?

From where did you take that shot? I have been on the mountain 20 days before you and I can't remember seeing Pachnes in a position so close to Melindaou. I must have missed it due to the myriad of crocusses which drew my attention.

Interesting to see that no snow was left on the first of June

There is a ridge with three small subsidiary peaks to the west and south of Melindaou. I took this photo from that ridge. At the time I didn't realize the mountain in the distance was in fact Pachnes, but once I got to the top it rose unmistakably over the central massif. Too bad I missed the crocuses; it looked pretty barren up there- almost like a desert.
