What you meanwhen you say "Meru Peak"? Meru has 3 summits, north, central and south, and in 2005 they had all already been climbed.
The last one climbed was Meru Central, also known as the Shark's Fin, in 2001 by the russian valery Babanov, that climbed the last part of the route solo. For this amazing exploit won the piolet d'or the following year. He summited Meru Central but he didn't actually climb the Shark's fin ( north face ), that is still unclimbed.

Re: What you meanhi buddy, u are right. as a matter of fact, i should say more details of this story. the Meru Peak(Shark's Fin,6450m)team was tried 2times through east wall of Shark's Fin(1st attempt, they reached about 6000m high,2005 and 2ed attempt,2008), but the both are failed because of its own difficulty and bad weather. i thank your interest and best regards.

Re: What you meanWell, thank you for the very interesting picture, that shows well how impressive is this peak. The unclimbed route is the direct to the summit, Babanov went up on the right. A couple of years ago two chech climbers climbed almost all the face but they had to traverse before the fin, ( that is really almost impossible to climb ) to the Babanov "Shangri La " route.
One of the greatest challenges in the himalaya.
