Metamorphic rock at the base of Mt. Goddard, in the pass between Martha Lake and The Ionian Basin. This rock is a jumble of dark brown, black, green, pink and orange; part of the Goddard Terrane, the remnants of early Jurrassic metavolcanic rock or roof pendants, which survived the massive granite intrusions(batholiths). Kings Canyon National Park. Sierra Nevada, California.
