Route Climbed: Little Smith Valley Date Climbed: Oct. 29th, 2005
This is a great peak to climb on a crisp, clear autumn day. Just a light dusting of new snow, with warm and calm conditions at the summit. Fantastic views across to the Sierras. Didn't see another person all day, and judging from the number of entries in the registers (at the Von Schmidt marker and the Lyon, NV county highpoint) this area is rarely visited.

A beautiful day hike and very easy cross country amid the sage, scree and rocks. Visited the summit, the Von Schmidt marker and the state line marker asd well as the Lyon County HP rock pile.
Route Climbed: Sweetwater traverse Date Climbed: July 16, 2005
Traversed the Sweetwaters from Mt Patterson and Wheeler Peak to South and Middle Sisters. Found registers on the Von Schmidt marker and the knob just NE of the state line marker.
Route Climbed: Little Smith Valley route Date Climbed: May 31, 2004
A tremendous viewpoint that is very much unknown outside of Nevada since it is more oriented to Nevada even though the summit is in California. We thoroughly enjoyed this one and were happy to find the highpoint of Lyon County Nevada as well. We had perfect weather and a great day. This one is worth a visit again and I'd like to do the adjacent peaks of East and South Sisters to complete the trinity.
