More hiking  Sucess!

There was tons of damage from the flood in 2013 that made the trail hard to follow. Wasn't too bad though. Good views from the top

Scramble route  Sucess!

Deep snow on the way up, and some avalanche danger on the slope to the summit.

Scramble route  Sucess!

Solo trip. The hike up the creek was hot and long. Once on the scree to the summit, it was more like winter - snow and cold winds. Excellent views from the summit. I was disappointed to find the metal register box was missing the original engraved lid.

Scramble  Sucess!

An easy, but longer, day out. You are constantly rewarded on the way up with spectacular views that are always changing with the new vantage points you reach. Made for a great day!

Route Climbed: Scramble Date Climbed: June, 2003  Sucess!

Bike in from the Three Sisters Gate at the first turn going up to their golf course. After you bike for about 5k, you will see a sign that tells you to turn right. Leave your bike at the creek crossing. This trail has a large family of Hoary Marmots (5) at relatively low elevation, 6500'. Also ran into 6 rams using this trail on the way out, they and we were startled, thus, they bolted to the local cliffs. The Marmots appear photogenic and use to people.

This is a trail to the top. We went in early June, so we did have to know where to go. Stay to the snow all the way to the base of Big Sister and then take a sharp right creating a U turn and gain the col between Big and Middle Sister. Then keep trudging up the Middle Sister Ridge on a few steep snow fields. This could be considered a long scramble (for an easy one), but technically non-challenging. We took 3:20 to the top. There is a register. It started snowing on us while the sun shined. Still, it was fabulous weather for June, not to hot, not to cold.

Route Climbed: Stewart Creek Date Climbed: 08/06/01  Sucess!

A very long day partially due to the heat. 35C with in the creek area. Very dry. The view was worth it.
