5.5 hours round-trip.
Bagged this summit as summit number 3/10 in a contest put on by Sahaptin Outfitters out of Cle Elum. Had to start at Stafford creek as the road was closed due to logging activity. Numerous water crossings; a handful of sizable blowdowns on the upper ridge. Views were nice if a little hazy. This trail felt like it took forever.
Word is the road has reopened.
Dayhike up the Miller Peak trail. 5 creek crossings each way, but socks managed to stay dry. Trail was buried in snow the final .5 mile but we hiked up to the ridge and followed it to the top. Great early season summit!
Hit all 3 peaks on a mountain bike ride. Fun day.
Great hike, continued to ridge traverse from the summit to Freedom Peak and Navaho Peak. Pictures and topo maps at http://www.willhiteweb.com/teanawayriver/miller_peak/navaho_freedom_160.htm
A nice summit via a typical 4 mile 3000 foot elevation gain type of trail.
combined Miller with Iron Bear. interesting fossils and rocks on Miller.
Made this summit after a wondy night spent on the ridge along the County Line trail. Made a loop of the trip and had a great time
Here is the perfect weather dodger. It was raining and downright cloudy back on the western side but this mountain in the Teanaway still brought great views. A true winner of a hike when weather is questionable.
