Bushwack  Sucess!

The one time I wear shorts on a hike I encounter some unfriendly bushes. Just my luck, otherwise a good hike though! Great views of the surrounding Millcreek Ridge. Managed to make it over to Point 9074 as well, enjoyed the lack of crowds. Definitely a hike worth doing just make sure you wear pants.

Millie

Done this peak a few times. Great alternative if you want to avoid the crowds.

MInor Bushwhack  Sucess!

Started up with my wife from Lambs Canyon. Wonderfully cool in the canyon. The trail from the pass to the peak is pretty overgrown. Some stinging nettle on the trail, too. The trail is visible but you will have to do some bushwhacking. Wonderful views from the top, especially of Gobbler's Knob.

8.7 mile day  Sucess!

Started at the mount aire trailhead. Summited mt aire, then bushwhacked across the ridge to the saddle at lambs canyon. Went and hit millvue thinking it was gobblers knob. Dumb me, didn't know gobblers is on the south side of millcreek. But got this peak that never knew existed! The rock on top of aire and this peak are so so different. Was very fun to experience both in the same day. My legs are hashed and burning tonight from all the scrub oak I fought through. Was a great Sunday though.

Great Timing  Sucess!

Via Lambs Canyon. Went later in the day, around 4. Clouds and breeze kept the heat and humidity to a tolerable level. On the way down from the summit along the ridge, got hit by heavy rain and thunder. Exciting!

Millvue  Sucess!

Kessler, Shaylee, Kimberly, and I decided to make a climb of Millvue Peak. The Lambs Canyon Trailhead was only 1.5 miles each way out of our way travelling from SLC to Craig so it seemed like a natural choice. The trail was also north facing which would provide some shade. It had been many years since I last visited Lambs Canyon.

We started up the trail and at lunch at Lambs Canyon Pass. The trail has a reputation of being a steep one, but we actually found it to be quite pleasant, and with a nice forest, lots of flowers, butterflies, and a tiny gurgling stream.

After a nice lunch at the pass, we made our way up the ridge to Millvue Peak. The bushwhacking was rather minor, but we should have brought long pants for this one. There was quite a bit of stinging nettle too and Kessler got a fairly large rash, though it was short lived.

After enjoying the views from the summit, we headed back down the mountain. It was a warm day, but the shade was nice. It was a good climb.

Lambs Canyon

From Lambs Canyon Trail is fairly distinct with some growth coming in. Keep left(south/southeast) at the pass.

Millview?  Sucess!

done several times from Lambs Canyon (summer) and from Millcreek Canyon. From pass the trail is getting overgrown - recommend carrying pruning shears to improve the fading trail.
