perfect finishing line

Brrr. Congrats and well written TR. BTW, Jason's quite a climber. I'm pretty sure he's done Evolution in under 24h and the Palisades Traverse (not sure the time on the latter).

awesome

I bet the really fast folks had done parts of the route before, so they didn't have to spend time making decisions.

Re: awesome

It would be nice to think so, although I suspect they also onsighted. I'm not even sure it would help much to have done the route before, unless you took meticulous notes while climbing.

Re: awesome

Not to undermine Lavaka's achievment, Peter Croft's solo was onsight.

Nice!

This traverse has always been on my list, perhaps now I'll add it to my "Bucket List."

Nice TR

Strong work young man. Don't personally Booth, but I used to climb with his brother and cousin quite a bit.

Thanks

Thanks for all the nice comments. I just added some additional pictures, and a link to a full photoalbum, in the "addendum" section.

Yes ... awesome

I don't know any of the climbers mentioned.
(Is Peter Croft related to Laura Croft?)

I don't even live in California!

HEY, but I know OUTSTANDING WORK when I see it. GREAT job!!!

Nice work!!

Nice work guys. What a spectacular row of peaks eh? In response to questions about Jason Lakey... he onsighted the evolution traverse in 19 hours camp to camp and redpointed the complete Palisade Traverse in like 37 hours or something. He also said that the Rock Creek traverse was harder than the Evolution, for whatever it's worth.

Re: Nice work!!

thanks for the info. Misha mentioned that Reardon did the complete Palisade Traverse in 22 hours, and I'm a bit incredulous since Lakey took 37 hours and Croft, as of the time his book was published, hadn't done the whole thing in one push.

Suh-WEET!

Nice TR. Well written with just enough narative and just enough actual beta. (Well, OK... a lot more narative and not so much beta. But then, that just makes it more fun for the next guy, right?) Excellent photos too! Well done, lads!
