With Megan and Katie, both 12. Camped in Missouri Gulch, close to the turn off to Belford. Up via the standard route, and then back along the splendid curving N ridge until more or less directly above our campsite: steep drop off.
Princeton and Missouri weekend Combo. West ridge is a long trip when you don't make it across the creek with your car. The grassy slope is very exhausting. Long day with nasty winds and clouds but the mountain is incredibly colorful.
Wife, pup and I with Iowa and Emerald.
Sunny going up until the clouds moved in. Little bit of sleet/hail on the descent, no worries about thunder/lightning. Less then 7 hours round-trip. Very scenic ridge.
14th 14er this year.
Belford, Oxford, Missouri combo.
Funky snow, but some of the only snow left on 14ers in Co.
From Missouri Gulch TH. Ascended Belford first, over to Oxford, back to Belford, down to Elkhead Pass, down the the trail junction of the standard route for Missouri, summit of Missouri and back to the TH. Great weather all day.
Perfect spring day. The east slopes leading to the NW ridge made a great snow climb and quick descent. View to Huron and Apostles was fantastic!
Would probably have bailed on the three-bagger had we not hit Missouri first
I summited Missouri from Missouri Gulch on a calm and crisp morning, had rewarding views all around, the creek crossings were a little tricky due to high water; it was my 4th 14er in 5 days.
This was almost too easy. Best part of the day was fording clear creek.
Great snow climb and day.
I regret stopping @ Point 13,930 while the others continued to the top. Climbed with B. Davidson, Cozette [?] and one other.
With Iowa and Emerald. Dad and Derrill.
we hit the couloir up the center of the face on solid snow!
Did a night hike under the full moon to the summit. Stayed for an hour and watched the sunrise. Alpenglow on the 3 Apostles was AMAZING! Would love to come back and do this again in Winter.
Climbed Belford --> Oxford --> Harvard --> Emerald --> Iowa --> Missouri. Moderate intensity. Summited Oxford at 6:20 AM Saturday morning and finished with Missouri summited via South Ridge II from Iowa at 8:15AM Sunday morning. Back at the Missouri TH at 11 AM. Missouri, as always, is a beautiful peak :-)
Seemed easy after Belford/Oxford the prior day.
