Fun hike; good views
The blue skies and profusion of green growth were beautiful. Nice views of the terrain towards Palomar, but the lower portion was blocked by chaparral.

Fun family hike
Excited to finally get out after some covid restrictions were lifted. Hot on the way up but the four of us enjoyed the pretty summit views.

Good workout hike
By my standards it was a hot day, but Annette and I very much enjoyed this nice little hike. The distance is relatively short, but gives you a good elevation gain workout in the process. Nice views from the top!

Nice leg stretcherGood way to spend a day off. Weren't many views due to low hanging clouds though.

Fun short hikeI used to climb Monserate all the time when I lived in Oceanside. It is a fun short hike for when you only have an hour or two to hike.
