Fog - and Ibexes
Climbed Legnone on a Sunday - together with some 200 others, mostly Italian. Even though, we saw female Ibexes on the west ridge twice. Saw only half of the famed summit panorama due to clouds rolling in from the south-east
Climbed it together with my brother. This was our third attempt on the mountain. The two previous times we had turned around due to bad weather. But this time the mountain gave us an experience of a lifetime. Perfect conditions and beautiful panoramas all the way.
Indeed Legnone is a pearl of the alps :)

Nice day with wonderful panorama over Valtellina and Como and Lugano lake. With my friend Fabrizio.
Route Climbed: round trip Date Climbed: May 1st 1990
We started south of the mountain at Pagnona village. The ascent followed a little road,than along the south ridge which had snow and corniches at the end. The summit is a perfect lookout 2400m down to Como lake and to Monte Rosa etc. Descent was along west ridge, where many snow had remained. We traversed from Legnone hut beneath the mountain and had to climb another 100m to gain our ascent route back to the car.. Great trip!

Route Climbed: From Roccoli Lorla Date Climbed: 28 August 1989One of my first climb. I was 6 y.old. I slept in tent with my parents to roccoli Lorla. I want to come to the top in the next future! Surely!!!
